New Project Zomboid Mod: Renewable Energy

New Project Zomboid Mod: Renewable Energy

We just created a simple Project Zomboid mod that allows you to craft an 'inverter' to power nearby devices.

The mod is available via the Steam Workshop, and works on both PC and Steamdeck.

Usage:
Use the 'craft' menu and see the tab at the end called 'Renewables'.
Assuming you have the right items, like a battery, some wire and so on, you should be able to craft it where you are stood.
Right click the box to see the 'generator controls' and turn it on or off.
Its big and heavy, so dont expect to move it any time soon!

Features:
- New Renewables Craft tab added (more renewables to come in future!)
- Ability to craft an electric generator (inverter) from batteries
- UI control panel to turn it on or off and see batttery level
- Add extra car batteries for longer lasting power

**Supports Build 41 only at the moment. Not tested on earlier or later versions**

Known Issues:
- There will be loads of issues I'm sure!

- For some reason you can't craft it with a standard car battery yet (but a sports or heavy duty one work fine)
- As its based on a fuel generator, it makes noise like a gas one!
- Sometimes you can access the 'gas' generator menu which can break things if you use those options
- Its currently possible to use the generator controls from miles away if you leave the menu open!
- The 'inverter' graphic is a placeholder (until we know how to make our own!)
- Can only be crafted where you are stood and cant be moved yet
- Build 42 not tested or supported but may work (will add when Multiplayer is in 42)
